Cooking Tools
- Mixing bowls
- Measuring Cups and Spoons
- Spatula
- Pastry blender, food processor or two knives
- Cooling Rack
- Baking sheet
Orange Cranberry Scone Ingredients
- Stonewall Kitchen Orange Cranberry Scone mix
- 1 teaspoon fresh orange zest
- 8 Tbsp. unsalted butter, cold and cubed
- ½ cup cream, dairy or non-dairy
Orange Cranberry Scone Directions
- Preheat oven to 450℉. Cover a cookie sheet with parchment paper.
- Pour the contents of the scone mix into a mixing bowl. Add fresh orange zest. Add butter and cut in with a pastry blender, two knives or fingertips until it resembles coarse crumbs. May use a food processor to cut in the butter - pulse the ingredients 4-5 times.
- Add cold cream and mix lightly, just until the mixture begins to hold together. Do not overwork the dough.
- Turn dough onto a well-floured work surface. Gently pat together until it holds together. Pat dough into a 1-inch thick round.
- Using a bench scrapper or sharp knife, cut the round into eight wedges. Place on parchment lined cookie sheet. Pull the triangles away from each other - 1-inch apart.
- Refrigerate for 15 minutes. This step will help to keep the scones in their triangular shape. Otherwise the butter will melt quickly and the scones will spread out thin.
- Bake until lightly browned, approximately 10 - 12 minutes. Allow to cool on a wire rack.
- Prepare the Orange Cranberry glaze.
Orange Cranberry Glaze Directions
- Empty the glaze packet into a bowl.
- Whisk together one tablespoon of orange juice and one-half teaspoon of fresh orange zest with the glaze packet. If too thin, add by tablespoon more confectioner’s sugar.
- Drizzle over the cooled scones.
- Serve scones with Stonewall Kitchen Orange Cranberry Marmalade.
- Share with your friends - they will love you always!
ENJOY! Blessings and bee happy! 💗
